Phoenix club
Club DescriptionThis club was founded by former Afghan students who graduated from Bard College with the goal of supporting girls and women in Afghanistan. The club was created to raise awareness, hold discussions and hearings, and collect funds to support girls’ education and opportunities in Afghanistan.
As a member of the club, I became involved in its mission and have helped explore ways to expand our work beyond Afghanistan. We are now considering expanding the club’s focus to support communities and girls affected by crises in other parts of the world, including the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Sudan, and Palestine.
While expanding our mission, we will continue our original commitment to fundraising. Through club activities and sales, we will raise money and direct the proceeds toward organizations and initiatives that support girls, women, and communities in need. Our goal is to create a broader international community of students who can come together to raise awareness, provide support, and make a meaningful difference.
