IT IS BLACK HISTORY MONTH!!!

This is an important time for us at Bard and the Office of Student Activities. While Black History and Black Excellence is not something we limit to  just February, I get especially excited during this month. Whether it be having the Zuzu Acrobats, the Gospel Explosion, Black muslim film week, panels on Black hair and Black LGBTQ+ experiences - we take this time to truly embrace the culture and highlight the various figures that have shaped Black excellence.

I want to take a moment to Celebrate our very own, Armando Dunn '19, for his amazing contributions. During his tenure as an undergraduate student at Bard, he broke Athletic records. Armando - you are Black Excellence and OSA celebrates you!

Note from the Director

Note from the Director

The Office of Student Activities (OSA) offers resources to all student clubs and supports Bard’s academic mission by contributing to the social, cultural, and intellectual life of the College. OSA also advocates for students by addressing their interests and requests concerning student life.

This office serves as a resource for the entire Bard community by organizing large-scale events, overseeing the planning and registration process for student-run events, advising Student Government and student clubs, and collaborating with other offices, programs, and community members to enhance campus life, interfaith and intercultural relations and more. OSA commits to fostering a student centered environment that promotes excellence in Diversity, Inclusion, leadership, and Engagement.

Our Website is continuously being updated to ensure that our students and families are up-to-date with all the services and events that we have to offer. I encourage you to visit it frequently to stay informed and/or if you have any questions, comments, or concerns related to Student Activities at Bard College.

Have a great Semester!

Yours in Service,
Sway +

Pride Week 2020

The Office of Student Activities at Bard College celebrated Pride Month with a series of special events. From June 18 to 25, OSA hosted events to honor LGBTQIA+ history, celebrate our communities' resiliency both yesterday and today, and support queer voices and artists.

  • You Should See Me in a Crown: Author Leah Johnson in Conversation at Bard College
Get your (queer) prom queen crown on and join debut author Leah Johnson as she discusses her new book, You Should See Me in a Crown.
  • COADQ Pride Panel
The Pride Panel serves as an outlet for open and honest dialogue, the sharing of personal stories, and an opportunity for Bard students to engage in fruitful discussion that begins with the panel, and continues for a lifetime.

Mental Health + Wellness

  • Finding Peace amid Crises
Mindfulness Monday with Bard College Counselor Daniel Sullivan.
  • Quarantine Yoga
Relax and unwind with one of Bard's own instructors, Julia Shea!
