Bard Moot Court
Moot Court is a simulated court proceeding where students, acting as lawyers, practice legal argument using a hypothetical case. Through Bard Moot Court, students are offered a direct introduction to the world of legal advocacy. In this court, members step into the shoes of appellate attorneys and attempt to argue simulated legal cases regarding real-world constitutional issues. There is no prior legal knowledge required. Whether you are a decided pre-law student aiming to join law school, or simply looking to improve your own public speaking, research, and debate skills, Moot Court provides an intellectual, supportive, and highly rewarding baseline.
