Nuestro Conjunto
Bard’s first Latin Big Band, NUESTRO CONJUNTO, brings the vibrant sounds of salsa, merengue, bachata, and salsatón to campus events. Inspired by the legends—Tito Puente, Héctor Lavoe, Celia Cruz, Eddie Palmieri, and more—we celebrate Latin music as both performance and community, merging dance, folklore, and well-loved classics. With 15 musicians from diverse musical backgrounds playing together at once, NUESTRO CONJUNTO creates an energetic and inclusive sound that has already collaborated with many Bard clubs and events. Open to all Bard musicians, the group has thrived independently for the past two academic years, hosting highly successful events. As a recognized club, we aim to expand our reach, create larger gatherings, and invite NYC-based experts to lead transformative master classes.
