Rock Climbing Club
Bard's Hudson Valley location lands it in the middle of one of the largest climbing communities in the world. Residing just forty minutes from the Shawangunks, a world-class climbing location, as well as many others both indoor and outdoor, we have the amazing ability to take advantage of year-round climbing. We have some experience in rock climbing, but are looking to grow, as we are sure many other Bardians are. Rock climbing is amazing sport that upon acquiring the basic skill set will get you strong and be a blast at the same time. Once you start, you'll be hooked!Bard students of all levels, experiences, and backgrounds are encouraged to participate in the Climbing Club. The club will regularly have sessions at nearby gyms such as Mustangs, Kingston; and BC's New Paltz. The club will also participate in local climbing competitions and organize group trips to USA Climbing's Collegiate Series. There will also be trips to outdoor climbing locations (mainly the Gunks) during the outdoor season.
